Servo Zigzag Feeder: High-Efficiency and Material-Saving Stamping Solution for circle blanking
September 13, 2025
The Servo Zigzag Feeder utilizes a dual-servo motor system controlled by a PLC. One servo motor system is connected to the feeding roller via a synchronous pulley to ensure precise control over the material feed speed and distance. The other servo motor system is connected to a precision roller lead screw through a synchronous pulley to perform the left-right movement for the zigzag action. The main functions and features of the Servo Zigzag Feeder are as follows:
The Servo Zigzag Feeder's most distinctive feature is its ability to feed material while shifting left and right simultaneously. This design enables material unloading and stamping while moving, ensuring highly efficient production. It allows the material to be fed and positioned for stamping without interrupting the process.
The Servo Zigzag Feeder is capable of feeding and shifting at the same time, which allows for more stamping operations within the same timeframe, greatly improving production efficiency. The feeder can achieve a feeding speed of up to 60 cycles per minute, making it ideal for large-scale production needs.
The Servo Zigzag Feeder is designed to reduce scrap during stamping production. By accurately controlling the process, it facilitates the production of metal discs with minimal waste, thereby maximizing material utilization. For example, with a 60° angle setting, each shift can save up to 7% of the material.

The Servo Zigzag Feeder is typically equipped with a reciprocating control system for the material collection device. This allows the collection bin to move automatically in sync with the die's upper punch, reducing manual unloading, lowering labor intensity, and minimizing safety risks and operational errors. Additionally, Decoiler, leveling machines, and the Servo Zigzag Feeder are linked by support plates, which contain multiple rollers and detection probes. The detection probes regulate the material speed, adjusting the Decoiler’s uncoiling speed and the leveling machine's correction speed, ensuring smooth material feed.
In continuous zigzag feeding, the Servo Zigzag Feeder can maintain a minimum distance of 0.5mm between the edges of the metal discs being stamped. The movement error remains within ±0.05mm, ensuring high production quality.
The Servo Zigzag Feeder offers adaptability to different material shapes and sizes, enhancing production flexibility. While it is primarily designed for stamping and unloading metal discs, it can be adjusted to accommodate other materials with varying shapes and sizes through parameter and configuration changes.
Overall, the Servo Zigzag Feeder plays a vital role in the stamping and unloading process of metal discs, offering unique advantages in efficiency, material savings, automation, precision, and flexibility.
